Lectors
The Lector has the important and privileged responsibility of proclaiming God’s Word at Mass. Any parishioner who possesses the ability to read clearly can, and is encouraged to become, a Lector. The tour of duty for a Lector is three years and each Lector is scheduled to read two weeks every two to two and a half months. Duties include pre-Mass preparation which involves reading aloud assigned readings for that week to assure proper pronunciation and an intelligent presentation of God’s Word.
