I am very excited to be working at St. John Parish, surrounded by my peeps and on this journey of life with so many pilgrims!  My roots are in the Midwest, but with my husband and 3 children, I've lived in Seattle and been part of St. John parish since 2007.  I'm a lector, head of the Women's Shelter ministry, teacher of CLOW, and member of Cathedral Builders.  In short, I love it here!

Sean Laverty - Maintenance

Sean’s ministry with the Catholic Church began with his many years as an altar boy.  He even had to memorize the responses in Latin!  Our wonderful community is one of the reasons why Sean has been part of our maintenance department for 29+ years.  We are also lucky that Sean only lives 2 and ½ blocks from St John although he might not always think that is a good thing.

I am thrilled to be working as Director of Sacramental Preparation here at St John Parish. I received my BA from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and my JD from Lewis and Clark Northwestern School of Law, also in Portland.  I've been a member of St John Parish for 11 years, serving as a lector for 10 years, and involved with the First Communion Program for 5 years. I've volunteered in many capacities in the parish and school.  My husband Tim and I have been blessed with three children-two daughters and a late coming son--our eldest will graduate from Lakeside School, our younger daughter is at Holy Names, and our son will be in Kindergarten at St John this fall. When not working or wrangling children, I love to quilt, sew, read and write short stories, and take long road trips to interesting places.

Josh Stutzman - Facilities Manager

jstutzman@stjohnsea.org - 206-251-8103

I was baptized at St. Brendan’s in Bothell at Easter 2017 and had been looking for a way to get more involved in a Catholic community.  I learned about varying facilities positions in the Archdiocese and jumped at the opportunity to join St. John’s. I’ve always worked well with my hands and enjoy enhancing the pleasure of others by providing solutions. I started with St John’s right before the move into the new admin building and have enjoyed the experience so far.
