Sheila Conolly - Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation

I am happy to be working on the St. John Parish staff this year in faith formation. Over the years, our family has been involved in the parish and school with our kids. I have taught theology over the past 33 years at Bishop Blanchet, Seattle Preparatory School, and a grade school in Woodburn, Oregon.  My favorite activity is being with people.

Dani D'Amelio - PA for Administration

Steven d'Amelio - Facilities Manager

I went to St Pius X in Mount Lake Terrace and Blanchet High School. I have lived in Seattle most of my life, aside from 3 years on Maui.  I have two wonderful kids.  I am an avid reader and spend as much time in the Mountains/Ocean as I can. I would always rather be by the water. I come from a big family and see many of them often. I have a twenty year history in Construction Services and Management. I have owned and operated a Painting company, a Landscaping Company and been an Insulation estimator. I consider it an honor to work with such dedicated staff and teachers. The children are a joy to be around.

Sean Laverty - Maintenance

Sean’s ministry with the Catholic Church began with his many years as an altar boy.  He even had to memorize the responses in Latin!  Our wonderful community is one of the reasons why Sean has been part of our maintenance department for 29+ years.  We are also lucky that Sean only lives 2 and ½ blocks from St John although he might not always think that is a good thing.

Twi McDonell - Choir Director and Musician

Twi McDonell is new, but familiar, to the St. John's community.  She and her husband, Angus, played with the 10:30 a.m. choir in the 90s until their university studies took them to Evanston, IL.  They have been back in the Seattle area for the last 2 years and their daughter, Josie, accompanies the 5pm and 8:30 a.m. masses.  Their son, Lawrence is a junior at Bishop Blanchet High School where Twi is on the faculty.  On off hours, Twi enjoys music making, dinners with family & friends, and skiing (preferably downhill!).

He went on to Blanchet High School, graduated in 1992, then enrolled at North Seattle Community College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree. In his free time he retreats to his house in Central Washington to relax and enjoy the outdoor sports with his family and improve his outdoor photography hobby. I am thrilled to be working as Director of Sacramental Preparation here at St John Parish. I've volunteered in many capacities in the parish and school.  My husband Tim and I have been blessed with three children-two daughters and a late coming son--our eldest is in high school at Lakeside School, our younger daughter in middle school here at St John School, and our son will join the preschool this fall. When not working or wrangling children, I love to quilt, sew, read and write short stories, and take long road trips to interesting places.
