I was born and raised in Seattle and I grew up in Ballard until the end of high school when my family moved up to Stanwood/Camano Island.
I went to St. Catherine school and O’Dea high school and I graduated in 2003.
Right after high school - I joined the Navy and served three deployments during my time. During that time, I converted to Catholicism because I met Jesus through the Navy Chaplain, who was a Priest.
It’s at this point that I would like to linger a bit. What motivates me is evangelization, or in other words, to make Christ known. The desire of my heart was what opened me up to my vocation and why I am here today. My deepest desire is to make Christ known to all in our city. I wasn’t raised in any religion, even though I went to Catholic schools my whole life. It wasn’t until my time in the military that I encountered Jesus’ love and presence. In turn, I want everyone in our parish boundaries to come to know Him.
Over the last seven years of priesthood and pastoring, I have learned that the Holy Spirit prepares the way for new encounters with Jesus. And it has been a delight to witness this in parishioners in each place I have gone. As we transition into this new period I really look forward to hearing about your life and what Christ has been up to in you.
